Amanda Seales Responds to Kamala Harris’ Comment That ‘America Isn’t A Racist Country’: She Embarrassed Everybody Who’s Supported Her

Comedienne and ‘Insecure’ actress Amanda Seales, took to her Instagram Saturday [May 1], with commentary regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’ reaction to a statement made by Senator Tim Scott. At Joe Biden‘s first address to Congress,” Senator Tim Scott created a media frenzy after claiming:

“Hear me clearly. America is not a racist country.”

Senator Tim Scott argues his belief that America is not inherently a racist nation. In a later statement, Vice President Kamala Harris noted:

“I don’t think America is a racist country but we also do have to speak truth to the history of racism in our country and its existence today.“

Amanda Seales posted a vehement response on her Instagram. She shared:

“Okay…..so everybody on some bulls**t… That was dumb and embarrassing, and she embarrassed everybody who’s supported her.” 

Additionally, the caption under her post read:

“D***, Kamala. The paradoxical police pandering is TIRED and insulting to the constituency that supported you along with affirming the doubts of those that didn’t. Please fix this ASAPtuously.”

Celebrities have taken to Instagram to stand in solidarity with Amanda Seales’ response. To name a few, actress and producer, Vanessa Williams commented under the post:

“This ain’t right! We don’t have to THINK about whether AMERICA is a racist country. It is one…without question. Wowza.”

Best-selling author Ty Alexander jumped into the comment section with:

“We often forget they’re still politicians. There’s a certain song and dance she’s always gonna have to do in order to even be in that position, and because she’s a Black woman, she gone have to sing and dance even harder than Barack did.”
