Amanda Seales Isn’t A Fan Of Will Smith Playing Venus & Serena Williams’ Father In ‘King Richard’ Biopic
Amanda Seales shared some thoughts she had about Will Smith and the upcoming King Richard biopic.
As you may recall, Will Smith is set to star as Venus & Serena Williams‘ father, Richard Williams, in the upcoming biopic on his life. The trailer was released Wednesday (July 28).
However, Amanda Seales recently voiced some opinions she held on the matter. She commented on a post made by the @BlxckMonopoly Instagram page, initially writing:
“Will Smith is playing Richard Williams????????????????????? Also, why is this film about Richard Williams?????????????????????”
Later, Amanda Seales received a reply from another Instagram use who mentioned that Will Smith played Chris Gardner in Pursuit of Happyness, despite the fact that the actor is of a lighter complexion than the businessman.
It appears as though the user brought this up in order to invalidate Amanda Seales‘ “weak point,” as Richard Williams is also of a deeper complexion than Will Smith.
However, Amanda Seales soon issued a response of her own. She wrote:
“Point??? I said what I wanna see. Lol TF y’all debatin??? I can have my opinion and you can stan Will. There is ZERO issue here other than the one y’all are making over someone having a contrasting POV about A MOVIE!!!!!!! Whew chile these innanets…”
Amanda Seales‘ comment comes almost a year after Will Smith and Warner Bros. reached a settlement in the lawsuit they were facing over the Richard Williams biopic.
