UPDATE: DaBaby Dropped From Governors Ball Amid Fallout Over Homophobic Remarks
Update#1 (Aug. 2nd): Just a day after DaBaby was pulled from Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival due to his controversial homophobic comments, the Governors Ball has pulled him from the upcoming 10th-anniversary event.
It wrote in a statement earlier today (Aug. 2),
“Founders Entertainment does not and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind. We welcome and celebrate the diverse communities that make New York City the greatest city in the world.”
It continued,
“Thank you to the fans who continue to speak up for what is right. Along with you, we will continue to use our platform for good.”
It also told fans in the caption,
“Stay tuned for a lineup addition.”

The Governors Ball also shared the new lineup, which does not include DaBaby.

Original Story: Lollapalooza has dropped DaBaby from its Sunday lineup after he was accused of making insensitive and homophobic remarks during his set at another music festival last weekend.
Lollapalooza’s social media account posted Sunday morning that festival,
“was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect and love. With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight.”
Da Baby appears to have responded to the news on social media, reposting a Damon Dash clip.
