King Von’s Estate Releases New Music Video To Commemorate His 27th Birthday, 6ix9ine Issues Diss: He’s Just A Diamond Chain Now

King Von fans got the opportunity to see the rapper in one last music video–and they may have gotten another reason to dislike 6ix9ine.

Yesterday (Monday, August 9th) would have been King Von‘s 27th birthday. The Chicago rapper was murdered last November in Atlanta after an altercation escalated to a shootout. A man named Lul Tim (real name Timothy Leeks) is suspected of murdering King Von (born Dayvon Daquan Bennett).

To commemorate King Von‘s heavenly birthday, his estate released a new music video for “Demon” Monday (Aug. 9). The song was released on his debut album, Welcome to O Block, and the video was originally shot about a month before his death.

Additionally, Asian Doll (also known as Asian Da Brat) has been tweeting about King Von in the days leading up to his would-be 27th birthday. Most of her tweets were centered on her expressing her sadness over his death, including:

“Nothing has ever broken me but this right here breaking me into pieces I hope one day I stop feeling like this.”

However, while many were keeping King Von in their thoughts, 6ix9ine proceeded to trash talk him on social media. DJ Akademiks recently uploaded a video of Lil Durk and others paying tribute to King Von outside of his mural, located in Chicago’s O Block. Soon after, 6ix9ine hopped into the comment section, writing:

“Lil Tim [sic] put that man on a D*mn Wall [insert facepalm emojis] smh… he’s been on several T-shirts .. hats… he’s just a diamond chain now… he reall[y] said ‘if I was to die my ni***** gon slide every day…..”
