Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Album Gets Pushed Back To August 22nd

Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Album Gets Pushed Back To August 22nd
Kanye West‘s upcoming album has received a new release date!
The highly-anticipated album–which was previously slated for an Aug. 15 release–has now been given a release date for Aug. 22 on Apple Music.

The album was originally scheduled to be released after his initial listening party on July 22nd. However, Donda was then pushed back to Aug. 5th, after his second album release party. However, it has continually been pushed back since then. It is also worth noting that Kanye West moved into Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium in order to finish recording the highly-anticipated album.

Additionally, the @dondasplace Instagram account, which has been closely following the album, posted a screenshot of the updated release date.

This update comes a week after Justin Laboy, who has been providing the public various updates on Kanye West and the album, tweeted the album is complete. Last Friday (Aug. 6th), the social media personality tweeted:
“THE ALBUM IS DONE. YALL HEARD IT LAST NIGHT [insert laughing emoji] #Donda #Respectfully.

However, if the album is indeed complete, it is unclear why it has been delayed for the third time. Justin Laboy has not commented on the matter since Aug. 6th.
It is also worth noting that Apple Music claims Aug. 22nd is the album’s expected release date, meaning the date still has a chance to change.
