Jussie Smollett Debuts Dyed Hair While Singing About Political Climate
Former Empire actor Jussie Smollett has been relatively quite since his assault scandal, but he has been doing what he can to help behind the scenes. In April Jussie Smollett donated $30,000.00 to supply masks and care packets to Harlem Hospital in New York City, Cook County Hospital in Chicago, the Clinic for Us in Lemeirt Park as well as supplying emergency relief housing for women and children affected by domestic violence through the Jenesse Center in response to COVID19. Now Jussie Smollett looks to inspire through song, again. Sitting in a dimly lit room with a glass of wine and a friend on the piano, Jussie sings:
“I just want to sleep. I don’t want to see…all this ugly that’s surrounding me. I Just want to rest…I gave it my best. I never took more I always to less..”
Jussie Smollett is still in a legal battle with the city of Chicago over his assault with the city looking to recover the funds it took to investigate his claims. Jussie’s counter suit to have the case thrown out was rejected in April.
