Future Announces Benefit Concert For Haiti After Earthquake, Challenges Other Celebs To Join
On Aug. 14, Haiti was tragically hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Over 12,000 people were injured and 2,200 lives were lost. Atlanta Rapper, Future, is now stepping in to offer a helping hand.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper is set to host a benefit concert on Sept. 3rd in an effort to aid Haiti. He recently announced the concert via Instagram. In the short announcement video, Future proposed a call to action. He states:
“I would love for all my friends, family, music industry, fashion, and all other industries, and people as a whole to stand up for Haiti”
The rapper continues his call to action with a closing statement:
“I want to use my voice to do whatever I can to support Haiti during these tragic times and will be doing a benefit concert on September 3rd in Miami. Tap in to support. – Pluto.”

Rapper Lil Uzi Vert is set to perform as attendees can expect more surprise guests. The concert is set to take place at the Oasis Wynwood (Miami, FL).

Haiti is still recovering from the natural disaster as 53,000 homes were destroyed. There is an estimate of 350 people still missing as the toll is expected to rise. Other celebs including Cardi B, Rick Ross, and Naomi Osaka (tennis star) have promoted relief efforts. The New England Patriots have also donated resources and supplies to aid Haiti.
