Jay-Z Gushes Over Beyonce Calling Her ‘Inspiring & Talented’ While Discussing Their Partnerships

While celebrating the 18th Anniversary of the 40/40 Club in New York City on Saturday(8/28), Jay-Z took a moment to gush over his wife, Beyonce.

The power couple, who married back in 2008, are not just partners in life but also in business.  On why he loves working with Beyonce, Jay-Z said,

“She’s super detail-oriented, obviously, as you can see from her work.”

He added,

“She’s an incredibly hard worker, super talented, very inspiring.”

The Carters, who frequently collaborate on projects, recently made headlines for their Tiffany & Co.’s “About Love” campaign, in which Beyonce wore the 128.54 carat yellow diamond.

The diamond, which dates back to the 1800s, has been labeled a ‘black diamond,’ due to harsh and awful working conditions the Black miners who found it endured.

Fans criticized the ‘Mood 4 EVA’ performers for the diamond and for posing with a Basquiat. Jay-Z’s mother-in-law, Tina Lawson, defended the couple saying,

“How many of you socially conscious activist own diamonds ? I thought so! Well guess what did you go to try to check to see where the diamond came from? Probably not.”

Jay-Z opened his first 40/40 club in New York City back in 2003 and went on to open additional clubs in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and the Barclay’s Center.
