The official premiere date is October 24th! As previously reported, this is the last and final premiere date Insecure will have. It’ll be a bittersweet ending to a groundbreaking show.

This is only the first snippet of what season 5 will look like. Based on the caption alone it seems like Issa Dee is doing some self-reflection with the help of her alter ego “Mirror Bitch.” She seems to reminisce and says to herself,
“Oh Issa you were so simple then.”
Earlier this year Issa Rae let fans know that the next season will be the last and that herself and show runner, Prentice Penny, always planned to tell the full story of the show in 5 seasons.
“Prentice and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end. We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience.”

Not much is given away in the trailer and cast members haven’t spoiled anything. But Issa’s character does say,
“Maybe there’s a little voice in your head that’s telling you you’re not done.”
That could mean anything. Maybe she’s not done with long time boyfriend and Jay Ellis’s character, Lawrence, who in the finale finds out he got Christina Elmore’s character, Condola, pregnant.

What we do know is Yvonne Orji said that fans can expect to experience a full range of emotions from this final season. She said fans can expect,
“Unearthing, shedding, fulfilling, and growing. Unearthing lot of different things — emotions, feelings. Unearthing desires, wants. There’s a lot of things going on.”
What are thoughts on Insecure’s last teaser trailer? Let us know in the comments.
