Kanye West Reportedly Gearing Up For Homeware Line, Files Trademark
Now that Kanye West has the success of Donda under his belt, the Grammy-winning rapper is taking on another venture.
According to reports, his company Mascotte Holdings, Inc. filed a trademark application to put his name, Kanye West, on a series of homeware products. It includes fashion, shower curtains, towels, placemats, blankets, and textile wall hangings. If approved, the trademark will cover a variety of blankets from throw blankets to bed blankets and golf blankets. The material will be made of silk, cashmere, and fleece.
Kanye West is no stranger to home design. He designed the home he and his estranged wife Kim Kardashian shared in Hidden Hills.
Interestingly enough, Kim Kardashian also filed a trademark for KKW home last year. Hers also included products like towels, linens, drapery, comforters, throw blankets, and shower curtains/liners.
While he filed a trademark to put his full name on home products, he also filed to legally change his name to Ye last month and cited “personal reasons.”
Still, Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, will reportedly keep her married last name so she will have the same last name as their four children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
