Pooh Shiesty Withdraws Petition To Delay Trial After Prosecutors Suggest They’d Use The Extra Time To Review ‘New Allegations’ Against Him
Pooh Shiesty recently backtracked on his request to delay his upcoming trial!
Last year, Pooh Shiesty (real name Lontrell Williams) was allegedly involved in an armed robbery and shooting just northeast of Miami. The incident–which was caught on camera–occurred in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, and it resulted in two 21-year-old men receiving non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The surveillance footage implicated Pooh Shiesty in the event, as the bright green McLaren was ultimately linked back to him. Authorities also recovered a duffel bag full of cash that fell out of the McLaren and were able to trace the funds back to Pooh Shiesty using Instagram. As a result, the “Back In Blood” rapper was indicted on federal charges in late June, and a trial date was later set for Oct. 25th.
As the trial date approached, Pooh Shiesty and his legal team petitioned for a delay. Last week, the Memphis rapper asked the courts to postpone his trial until Dec. 6th, claiming he needed the time to build a proper defense. The prosecution consented to the request, as it would give them time to review “new allegations” and a “potential superseding indictment.”
Now, Pooh Shiesty is backtracking on his request and wants the trial to proceed as scheduled. This past Monday (Oct. 4th), the rapper and his lawyers submitted a new filing, claiming it’s
“in their best interest to proceed to trial even in light of the voluminous discovery.”

Pooh Shiesty maintains his innocence, and–if convicted–he could face a life sentence. His trial will proceed as scheduled on Oct.25th.
Aside from withdrawing his request to delay his trial, it’s also worth noting that Pooh Shiesty recently showed love to Meek Mill from behind bars–and called out his haters! In a phone call from jail, Pooh Shiesty said:
“Shout out to Meek Mill, mane. Real n***a… F**k these p*ssy a** n***as. They been waiting on n***as to stand still, mane–take a fall. But I ain’t ever fall. I’m a giant, mane…”
