Casanova Hit W/ Attempted Murder Charges While Jailed For Racketeering, Accused Of Shooting Crip In Stomach

There has been an update to Casanova‘s legal problems.

As previously reported, New York City rapper Casanova (real name Caswell Senior) surrendered to authorities almost a year ago after he was accused of taking part in a gang-related racketeering case. Memorably, Casanova later lost visitation privileges after he was caught taking park in the TikTok #Junebugchallenge from jail.

Soon after, the rapper was denied bail after prosecutors referenced a 2019 interview where Casanova told Nick Cannon he was a “celebrity ambassador” for the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang. At the time, he also said he was

“currently still a member of Gorilla Stone.”

Now, as Casanova sits in jail, he has been slapped with more charges. According to AllHipHop, the rapper has been charged with attempted murder due to an altercation in Miami last year. Allegedly, Casanova shot a Crip member in the stomach during an argument in front of the infamous King of Diamonds nightclub. Another person was also injured in the crossfire, and both were treated at a nearby hospital.

The rapper faces 15 years to life in prison if he’s convicted.

This development comes less than a week after the rapper shared a puzzling video to Instagram. In the short upload, Casanova says:

“Them felonies ain’t gangsta… 5 years on parole. I’m in Africa. This s**t is gangsta! This s**t is what you supposed to be doing. I wish I could bring all my n***as with me so they could witness this s**t, man… I was in the slums, saw this s**t. S**t is beautiful, man.”

Notably, the video is captioned:
