Dr. Dre Celebrates Being Divorced As F**k From Ex-Wife Nicole Young [Photo]

Dr. Dre celebrated a milestone with an extravagant balloon display–but the balloons weren’t for his birthday.

Iconic rap mogul Dr. Dre’s divorce from ex-wife Nicole Young appears to be finalized. Music CEO Breyon Prescott helped him ring in his new chapter with an Instagram post. The photo showed Dr. Dre, 51, sitting in a chair with a shiny gold balloon display reading “DIVORCED AF” behind him. Breyon Prescott captioned the post:

“Hey Well My Brother @drdre Just Told Me It’s Final !!! Congrats. Still Dre.” 

Music comrade Teddy Riley reposted the picture on his Instagram story and said:

“Now let’s go to Africa!!! @drdre @therealbreyonprescott.”

Nicole Young filed for divorce in June 2020. She’s reportedly accused Dre of abusing and cheating her throughout their 24-year marriage, which the Chronic rapper has vehemently denied. Things began to spin out of control when Nicole Young allegedly demanded over $4 million from Dre to cover her legal fees and spousal support. Dre reportedly claimed that Nicole was only after his money.

Earlier this year, Dre suffered an aneurysm. He allegedly claimed that Nicole visited him at Cedar-Sinai hospital, and went as far as saying that his ex-wife kissed him before she left. Shortly after, Nicole reportedly filed for a restraining order.

The pair married in 1996. Nicole was previously married to basketball player Sedale Threatt.

They share two adult children together: a son, Truice, 24, and a daughter, Truly, 20.

Dr. Dre hasn’t posted or commented about finalizing his divorce.
