Faizon Love Says Comedian Nicole Byer Is An ‘Unfunny Black Woman’ Following Release Of Her Netflix Comedy Special
Despite his last name, Faizon Love seems to have no love for fellow comedian Nicole Byer.
Comedian/actor Faizon Love, 53, recently became the topic of discussion after he shared a post to Instagram seemingly bashing actress/comedian Nicole Byer, 35, for her new Netflix comedy special.
Following the release of Byer’s special, Faizon Love took a few shots at the ‘Wipeout’ co-host. He shared a side-by-side image of himself and Byer to his IG page and wrote,
“So after very long consideration I felt the only way to get a Netflix special is to become a unfunny black women… my new name is Nicole Byer … this is my transformation.”

Not everyone in the comedy world seems to agree with Love’s post. DeRay Davis, 39, left a comment under the questionable upload and said,
“but i think Nicole is funny Faiz… I’ll rock with u on a couple others tho. [laughing emoji]”

Another IG user left a comment telling Love that no one is checking for him. The comedian replied,
“Wow I can’t have an opinion I just gotta follow robots f*ck you and your mediocre scale”

Other people also called Love out via Twitter for his opinion. One Twitter user claimed that when they worked as a debt collector the ‘Couples Retreat’ actor owed $6000 to AT&T. They tweeted,
“When I worked as a debt collector, Faizon Love owed $6000 to AT&T Mobility. I know this cuz I had to call him.”

Byer appears to be taking the high road with her response to Love. She retweeted an article about Faizon Love’s remarks and said,
“This is nice and fun!”

She also replied to a few fans who agreed with what Love had to say.
