Kardashian/Jenner Family Attorney Slams Blac Chyna’s Attempt To Subpoena Family In Legal Battle W/ Rob Kardashian
Rob Kardashian‘s family doesn’t want to deal with his legal drama with Blac Chyna!
As many readers will recall, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna–who share a daughter together–have faced a plethora of issues in their relationship. They memorably started their whirlwind romance back in early 2016 and eventually parted ways the following year.
One issue that continues to plague the pair is the ongoing assault case that Rob Kardashian brought on against Blac Chyna (real name Angela White) in 2017. In the civil suit, Rob Kardashian claims Blac Chyna viciously attacked him at their home, which was owned by Kylie Jenner, back in late 2016. However, Blac Chyna maintains her innocence.
The trial is set to kick off in February 2022, and a pre-trial hearing is scheduled for early January. With the dates drawing nearer, Chyna and Kardashian are in the process of getting their respective cases in order.
For Blac Chyna‘s defense in the matter, news recently broke that she was seeking to have members of Rob Kardashian‘s famous family subpoenaed into giving additional depositions. However, the family–specifically Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kris Jenner–is fighting back against Blac Chyna‘s request!
The paperwork was reportedly filed this past Tuesday (Dec. 14th), and the response reads:
“The subpoenas must be quashed because they present an unwarranted annoyance, embarrassment, oppression, and undue burden on the Non-Parties who have already been examined exhaustively by Ms. White in the related matter. [Blac Chyna] has no basis for wanting to depose these Non-Parties again on the same issues, other than to harass and burden the Kardashians/Jenners and generate headlines forcing the Non-Parties to file this motion.”
The response continued:
“The Kardashians/Jenners are extremely busy with business and professional commitments scheduled months in advance and it would be excessively disruptive and burdensome to force their additional depositions to take place on such short notice.”
It’s also worth noting that the Kardashian/Jenner family claims they have already spent a collective 25 hours providing depositions on the matter. As a result, they say being subpoenaed to provide additional commentary on the matter is “excessively disruptive and burdensome.”
The matter will be decided on at the pre-trial hearing on Jan. 7th.
