Keke Palmer’s Previous Comments About Trey Songz Go Viral Amidst Singer’s Latest Rape Allegations
Keke Palmer is making headlines over comments that she made in the past about Trey Songz.
Lauren Keyana “Keke” Palmer, 28, is trending again, in the midst of yet another sexual assault allegation against the singer Trey Songz, real name Tremaine Neverson, 37.
For those that don’t remember, In 2017, Keke Palmer took to Instagram Live to discuss her anger towards Trey Songz and his team for using unauthorized footage of her in the music video for hit song, “Pick Up The Phone.”
According to the actress, she went to Trey Songz’s Miami home for a party. She told multiple people that she did not want to be recorded for the music video due to her being under the influence. Keke Palmer recalled feeling pressured into doing the video, causing her to hide in a closet until her Uber came as a way to avoid conflict.
Keke received a lot of backlash for these comments from fans and celebrities alike.
One clip that has circulated the internet is Keke Palmer and talk show host Wendy Williams, 57, discussing her less-than-comforting reaction to Keke’s allegations on The Wendy Williams Show. The actress tells Wendy:
“I would have loved to turn on your show and saw you be a little bit more compassionate and less accusatory and ridicule-”
Wendy Williams responded
“I couldn’t”
To which Keke Palmer famously asked
“Why girl? Because the gag is, you wasn’t there.”

Another recurring video is that of Keke Palmer and The Breakfast Club hosted by DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne tha God. During this interview, she was asked if her accusations of sexual intimidation by Trey Songz was a misunderstanding. She responded
“You know, it wasn’t a misunderstanding. I tell my truth and, you know, I just thought it was interesting that after all those things went down. You know- someone else had something to say… I don’t like when people think somebody’s just going to be saying something just to say it…”
She continued
“… So many times Black women say stuff and nobody gives a sh*t. Excuse my language, nobody gives a f*ck when sometimes Black women say something. But somebody of another complexion, somebody of another color, they say something and then it’s like “we’re taking it to court. It’s time to get serious, #metoo.”
