Nicki Minaj’s Attorney Threatens Legal Action Against Jennifer Hough & Her Attorney Tyrone Blackburn: This is the beginning of Nicki’s & my efforts to make you pay for your disgraceful conduct
Nicki Minaj continues to make headlines this week! The New York rapper was just dropped from a lawsuit alleging that she harassed and intimidated her husband’s sexual assault victim, Jennifer Hough. Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty was convicted in 1995 for the attempted rape of Hough. In the harassment lawsuit, Hough alleged that Nicki Minaj and her husband tried to force her to recant the rape allegations made towards Petty.

On Wednesday (Jan.12), Jennifer Hough’s attorneys filed the motion for voluntary dismissal with no specific reason given. The dismissal only pertains to Nicki Minaj, while the lawsuit against Kenneth Petty is still ongoing. Jennifer’s attorney, Tyrone A. Blackburn exclusively told us,
“The case was voluntarily dismissed as to Nicki in NY. The case against Kenneth is ongoing. As for anything further concerning Nicki, stay tuned!”

Following the dismissal, Nicki Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, allegedly sent an email to Hough’s attorneys, slamming the lawsuit. According to reports, Burnstein wrote,
“As I told you during our one virtual meeting, Nicki would never pay a dime to your client. I was correct. You ultimately were forced to surrender without you or your client receiving a penny.”
He continued by saying the legal proceedings
“inexcusably wasted my time and her [Minaj] money over the past three months. In my point of view, your conduct in pursuing this case against Nicki represents the worst of our legal system: bottom-feeding lawyers who pursue frivolous actions against a celebrity assuming that they will be paid off if they throw up enough dirt.”
Burstein also stated that he and Nicki Minaj would take action against Jennifer Hough and her attorney Blackburn, writing the dismissal was
“just the beginning of Nicki’s and my efforts to make you pay for your disgraceful conduct with both money and, if the Court recommends it, disciplinary sanctions.”
Nicki Minaj has yet to comment publicly on the new developments involving the case.
