According to reports, the 47-year-old was released from prison at the beginning of Jan. He was a member of the original Hot Boys gang, for which the rap group that produced Lil Wayne was named. In 1998, Williams was sentenced to life with an additional twenty years for continuing criminal enterprise and solicitation for murder.
Williams was allegedly caught dealing heroin and orchestrating the mass murder of a New York drug ring.
Disclosing the reasons for Williams’ early release could potentially jeopardize his safety, which is probably why nothing has been explained.
It has been reported that Williams cooperated with law enforcement in 1999, though he was not rewarded for his actions.
Birdman nor Slim have commented on their half-brother’s release.
