Nicki Minaj Debuts At #2 On Billboard Hot 100, Says ‘I Don’t Need To Go #1 I AM #1’
Congratulations are in order for Nicki Minaj!
The self proclaimed ‘Queen of Rap’ has reached another milestone and is proud of it! The 39-year-old rapper recently made a comeback and collaborated with rapper Lil Baby for her new single, “Do We Have A Problem?” which has now placed Nicki back on the Billboard charts in a major way. Reportedly, the hit song has made its way to the #2 spot on Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Trinidadian rapper took to Twitter to share her excitement with her fans in a string of tweets while also reminding us to put some respect on her name. She first wrote,
“Y’all. Let’s start by saying: I don’t need to GO #1. I AM #1. There’s a difference.”

She then thanked her fans, affectionately named “The Barbz” for being supportive while also sharing a screenshot of the successful Billboard stats.
“#DoWeHaveAProblem…Do y’all not understand how fucking epic you are? They took off all these sales and look. Changed all the rules a few weeks ago chi… and look. I’ll go live to say a few things. Let’s start with how much I fkng love you. So many songs couldn’t do this chi.”

Nicki Minaj goes on to allude that while certain rules/requirements changed last minute, she’s thankful that her fans were able to help make her new single a big success. She said,
“Yes the biggest collaborations & songs with the most radio play and play listing with the same rules couldn’t do it. You guys did it AFTER the rule change! A rap song. No sexual visuals. A rappy rap song. I thought it would be top 15. Label said top 5.”

Earlier this month, Nicki Minaj and Lil Baby released their new single and music video for “Do We Have A Problem”. The 9-minute-video played out as a short film and featured actor Joseph Sikora from the hit show, ‘Power’ and actor Cory Hardrict. The song and video garnered the attention of the Barbz and quickly made its way on the Billboard charts!
