Kanye Submits Court Objection Against Kim Kardashian’s Request To Be Single, Reportedly Afraid Kim Will Quickly Remarry & Move Their Shared Assets
Who would’ve guessed!?
Days after lawyers for SKIMS owner Kim Kardashian submitted a request to a judge to grant her request for single status without husband Kanye West’s approval, Kanye’s team submits a formal objection to the judge against Kim’s request.
Earlier this week, we reported that 41-year-old reality TV star Kim Kardashian had her team re-submit a request for single status alleging 44-year-old musical icon and husband Kanye West was refusing to respond. Now, according to recent reports, Kanye West has submitted his official response to the judge – objecting to Kim’s motion.
Reportedly, Kanye’s lawyer states:
“Kim’s motion should be denied without prejudice so that Kim can refile it with the mandatory corrections and requested conditions set forth in the proposed judgment. Alternatively, a hearing regarding these additional conditions should be set.”
The report suggests that Kanye is afraid Kim will remarry soon and move some of their shared assets to a seperate account. As for the “mandatory corrections and requesting conditions set forth in the proposed judgement”, the report claims that there are certain conditions Kanye will not budge on that Kim’s legal team has repeatedly refused.
Reportedly, These three mandatory conditions include:
1. If either of them dies, Kanye wants to make sure any money that might be owing to either gets reimbursed.
2. Kanye wants to block Kim from transferring assets out of any trust they created.
3. Kanye wants Kim to waive their marital privilege pending a final custody decision. Meaning he wants to ensure any communications between the 2 of them can be part of the court record. Kanye also adds that if Kim remarries, she would waive any spousal privilege between her and her new husband … in other words, he wants to make sure any conversations between her and a new husband, as it relates to custody, would be fair game in court.
It has been almost a year since Kim initially filed for divorce from Kanye in February of 2021. Though they have agreed Kim will keep their $50 million mansion, there are reportedly a number of assets that still need to be settled between the two, though a prenup is involved.
There is also the matter of custody between the four children Kanye and Kim share, North (8), Saint (6), Chicago (4), and Psalm (2), that are part of their ongoing divorce settlement.
