Nicki Minaj–Philly Health Dept Throws Shade At The Rapper Over Covid Vaccine ‘Swollen Testicles’ Claim
While it’s been months since Nicki Minaj, 39, shared some controversial comments surrounding the Covid-19 Vaccine, it looks like some people aren’t ready to let it go just yet. On Thursday (Feb.17) night the Philadelphia Public Health Department caught wind of a tweet Nicki posted the day before. Without providing context, she wrote.
“Nothing like watching someone speak confidently about something they know nothing about.”
The Philly Health Dept. seemingly felt a certain way about the post and replied to Nicki Minaj with the ? [eye] emoji and a screenshot of her controversial covid vaccine tweet from Sept. 2021 which read,
“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”

As previously reported, Nicki’s tweet garnered a lot of attention from not only fans but public figures. Even Dr. Anthony Fauci—the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases—addressed the controversy telling CNN that Nicki Minaj
“should be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis.”
Dr. Fauci insisted there was no evidence that FDA-approved COVID vaccines caused the kind of symptoms Nicki mentioned.
It’s unclear what made the Philadelphia Public Health Department come for the self proclaimed ‘Queen of Rap”, but it looks like they may still be holding a grudge from her past comments.
