Tristan Thompson Allegedly Told Maralee Nichols He Was ‘Engaged’ to Khloe Kardashian & Would Be ‘Married Soon’ Amid Paternity Suit

New information has come to light in the ongoing paternity battle between Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols!

Reportedly, a new filing reveals that the 30-year-old NBA player claimed to have been ”engaged” to Khloe Kardashian amid his affair. Court documents submitted by Maralee Nichols, 31, on March 4 show Snapchat messages allegedly sent by the basketball player last April. Thompson claims the texts are fake, while Nichols’ lawyer argued that the messages prove Thompsons’ “unwillingness” and “refusal” to support their son before he was even born.

In the alleged messages, Tristan Thompson repeatedly tells Maralee that he and Khloe Kardashian were getting married and would soon go public with the announcement. The documents also claim that the athlete spent a hefty amount on an engagement ring; $ 2 million to be exact!

In one message from April 2021, the fitness model claimed she had no idea Tristan was engaged.

“You literally just told me you are engaged and are trying to be with your family.. I didn’t even know you were engaged. You have a record of treating me like absolutely crap and this whole situation has been upsetting.”

Thompson allegedly replied days later.

“I’m engaged but I will be married soon. I told you I won’t and can’t be in the child life at all by no means … Why not wait till [sic] find the right person to have a family with. Why would you want a baby with a man that’s engaged. You wanna keep a mistake.”

While it was never confirmed if the on-again, off-again couple were truly engaged, Khloe Kardashian was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her ring finger last year.

According to the court filing, Tristan Thompson told Nichols back in May 2021, that he and the Good American cofounder planned to move away from California.

”Just a heads up me and my fiancè [sic] gonna announce publicly about out [sic] marriage.. Just a heads up. We probably moving out the country in September and live either in Europe or Caribbean. Better living for us and our family away from the bs of America.” 

As previously reported, Tristan confessed to fathering a child with a Houston woman named Maralee Nichols via Instagram in Jan. The baby boy was allegedly conceived while he was still in a relationship with Khloé. Reports about his months-long paternity battle with Maralee had been circulating since Nov.
