Young Dolph Autopsy Released, Revealing Rapper Shot 22 Times
Its been four months since the tragic death of Memphis rapper Young Dolph.
Adolph Thorton Jr., known as Young Dolph, was fatally shot a total of 22 times on November 17, 2021 while visiting his hometown. Young Dolph was shot to death at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies on Airways Blvd. near Ketchum Rd at around 1 p.m. The West Tennessee Regional Forensic Center released the autopsy report on Tuesday (March 15) for the famed rapper, who was also well known as the King Of Memphis. Young Dolph was 36.
A rep for the Memphis bakery later said,
“We are heartbroken and saddened by the passing of Young Dolph. He was a regular customer and loved Makeda’s Cookies. My parents are in a lot of pain from this. Our hearts and condolences goes out to his family. He will never be forgotten and will be so missed.”
The autopsy revealed the locations where Dolph was shot at. The report stated he had been shot in multiple parts of his body, including right back, center back, left back, right arm, left arm, left chest, left abdomen, right chin, right neck, right wrist and right shoulder.
The death has been ruled a homicide. Justin Johnson, aka Straight Drop, and Cornelius Smith have been charged for their involvement in the murder and are in custody so far. An individual named Shundale Barnett has a warrant out for his arrest for his involvement as well. Two other men, Devin Burns and Joshua Taylor, have been named as persons of interest in the murder.
Dolph’s partner and soon to be fiancée Mia Jaye recently took to her Twitter to express how she’s been healing.
