Dionne Warwick Is Not A Fan Of The Whitney Houston Hologram: ‘They Need To Let Whitney Rest’
It looks like Dionne Warwick isn’t too fond of a Whitney Houston hologram!
During a recent episode of ”Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” the 81-year-old music icon and cousin to the late singer was asked her opinion on the new Whitney Houston hologram concert in Las Vegas–which was approved by Houston’s estate. Without hesitation, Warwick responded,
“I am not a fan of the fact that they decided to do that. That doesn’t please me at all…They need to let Whitney rest. Leave her alone.”

When asked if the hologram could be a unique way for fans to honor Whitney’s legacy, Dionne Warwick disagreed and offered alternative options.
“You can never recreate Whitney,ever..If you want to see her she’s done enough television, she has a couple of movies out you can go see if you must look at her face, but you have all that music you can listen to..That’s her legacy.”
The ‘That’s What Friends Are For’ singer has always taken a stance against a Whitney Houston hologram and biopic. As previously reported, the late singer’s biopic, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ is set to hit theaters on Dec. 23, 2022. ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,‘ is being made with the support of Whitney Houston’s estate and includes Grammy award winner Clive Davis as a producer. When asked in a previous interview if she was involved in the biopic, Dionne Warwick said,
“Not one thing.”
She added,
“I want them to let Whitney rest in peace. Leave her alone. Ten years [since she died] — it’s time to let her sleep.”
