Pusha T Teams Up With Arby’s, Releases A Diss Track Aimed At McDonald’s
It looks like Pusha T is making money moves!
The “Diet Coke” rapper is collaborating with popular fast-food restaurant, “Arby’s” to help promote their new spicy fish sandwich! On the new Arby’s commercial, “Spicy Fish Diss,” premiering today (Mar.21), Pusha T takes a shot at Arby’s competitor– McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwich. Some of the lyrics read,
“I’m the reason the whole world love it. Now I gotta crush it. Filet-o-Fish is s**t. And you should be disgusted. How dare you sell a square fish, asking us to trust it. A half slice of cheese, Mickey D’s on a budget?”
While it’s a playful diss track with a tone that is firmly tongue-in-cheek, it’s still a major diss against the fast food giant. Oddly enough, Pusha T previously collaborated with Micky D’s back in 2003, when he reportedly co-wrote the “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle for the franchise along with Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake.
It looks like Pusha T is joining the list of rappers who have recently collaborated with fast-food chains. His close friend Kanye West just did a major commercial with McDonald’s which was featured during this years Super Bowl commercials. Fat Joe has teamed up with White Castle while Travis Scott launched a special meal and merch with McDonald’s.
