An insider has recently reported that the Lemonade artist is in talks to be the opening performer for this years Oscar awards. Additionally, the rumored performance will be televised from the tennis courts portrayed in the film King Richard, and will possibly feature an appearance from Will Smith.
It’s a good day to be a member of the Beyhive! According to inside reports, fans of superstar singer Beyoncé may get to see another one of her iconic live performances soon. Allegedly, the “Love Drought” artist is planning an elaborate performance for her return to the stage, opening for the 2022 Oscars which will be held March 27th.
The 40-year-old mega star is nominated this year in the category of best original song for her track “Be Alive”, which was written for the film King Richard. The biopic, that stars Will Smith as Richard Williams – the father and coach of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams, is also nominated for Oscar awards in five different categories; including best actor and best original screenplay.
Reportedly, the location of the performance will be where the tennis champs practiced with their father Richard in Compton, California. Reports also claim that the performance may include a cameo from Will Smith, appearing onsite with Beyoncé, and then presumably heading back towards Hollywood in time to take his seat for the announcement of the best actor category.
Beyoncé nor any involved parties have verified her performance at this time, but we also know the star is historically good at keeping performance details hush-hush.
