Kim Kardashian Apologizes As She Explains Infamous ‘Nobody Wants To Work’ Comment Was ‘Taken Out Of Context’
Kim Kardashian is offering up an apology after telling women they need to work harder.
As previously reported, earlier this month Kim Kardashian, 41, found herself at the center of a heated discussion after giving business advice to women that seemingly wasn’t received well. During a previous interview, the SKIMS owner shared her business tips and said,
“I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f*cking a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

Following the now-viral moment, Kim Kardashian received a lot of criticism and was called out for seemingly being naive to the harsh realities the average person faces while trying to survive. During a recent interview, the mother of 4 spoke about her business advice and shared that she didn’t mean to offend anyone. She said,
“It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard. I know that they do.”
She added,
“It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”

Kim continued and explained that during the initial interview she was asked about being “famous for being famous,” which caused her to answer as harshly as she did. She shared,
“That statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it, and it became a soundbite really with no context.”
She then said,
“That soundbite came off of the notion and the question right before, which was, ‘After 20 years of being in the business, you’re famous for being famous,’ and my whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice would you give to women.”
