Fashion Nova Uses Will Smith & Chris Rock’s Slap Incident To Advertise Sale
Popular clothing company Fashion Nova found a clever way to capitalize on Will Smith’s infamous Oscars slap.
Loyal customers of the brand took to Twitter to share their latest promotional message:
“We SLAPPED 40% Off the ENTIRE Site! It’s Time To ROCK New Spring Looks, Today Only.”

The notification referenced Will Smith walking onto the Oscars stage and slapping comedian Chris Rock, who hosted the ceremony. Smith was angered after Rock called his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, “G.I. Jane.” Jada suffers from alopecia and made the brave decision to debut her shaved head last year.
Social media users reacted to the text:
“Nobody on the motherf****n earth: Fashion nova : we have slapped 40% off !”

“Everyone when they got the Slapped 40% fashion nova text.”
