Kim Kardashian Responds To Criticism Over Why Her Curvy Figure Isn’t Embraced The Same On Women Of Color: I’ve Always Embraced Everybody

SKIMS owner Kim Kardashian, 41, seemingly isn’t here for anyone who speaks down on someone because of their shape.

The “slim thick” body type has been an ongoing topic of discussion for some time now. Features of the shape include a small waist, thick thighs, and a plump bottom, which are physical aspects that tend to be associated with Black women. Despite once being rejected by mainstream society, thicker shapes have seemingly become the norm. Some might accredit this beauty standard change to reality star Kim Kardashian and her famous sisters, who are often praised for their curvy looks. There have even been studies on if their shapes set an unrealistic beauty standard for society.

During a recent interview, Kim Kardashian was asked why she thinks society tends to embrace the curvy-body type on her more versus when women of color have the same shape.

Kim  replied:

“I mean I’ve always just embraced everybody. I think everyone deserves to feel exactly how they want to feel and be praised for exactly how they are.”

She continued:

“And if that isn’t up to anyone’s standards or specific beauty standards then f**k them.”

After the clip began to circulate online, social media users wasted no time in weighing in on the discussion. Some weren’t impressed by Kim’s response, while others felt the businesswoman shouldn’t have been asked the question at all.
