Justine Skye Calls Ex-Boyfriend Giveon’s Upcoming Single A “Weak A** Song”: It’s Not What Y’all Think It Will Be
Drama is in the air! Former lovebirds Justine Skye and Giveon appear to throw shade at one another with the release of their upcoming new song titles and a few interesting tweets.
Early last night (April 20) Justine Skye, born Justine Skyers, let her ex-boyfriend and singer Giveon have it when she noticed he announced his upcoming song would be released a week after hers. The 26-year-old singer responded to a Twitter user’s post that placed her song cover and Giveon’s side by side, but it looks like Justine Skye isn’t here for his single release. She commented,
“I already know what this weak a** song sounds like anyway. It’s not what y’all think it’ll be.”

On April 13, Justine announced she would be putting her feelings into her music with upcoming single “What A Lie” releasing on April 22. Eventually, her former lover Giveon took to Twitter to also announce his upcoming single “Lie Again,” which will be available a week later on April 29.

The pair was once music’s newest couple, dating for roughly 14 months before breaking up late last year. The Brooklyn native revealed via Instagram Live what alluded to the conclusion between her and Giveon. According to Justine, she discovered that her ex, believed to be Giveon, was cheating on her.

After looking through an old phone he had, she was completely caught off guard at the discovery, as she recalls him texting other women as soon as they’d get off the phone. She said,
“The reason why I could hold my composure a little bit was because I was just like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe this is who he is. Like that’s insane.'”
Justine also recalled a moment when Giveon allegedly texted her while on a date with another woman. When she asked what he was up to, he allegedly said he was out with friends, leading her to call him out for lying and his decision to end the relationship. In addition, she says Giveon never apologized for lying or cheating, but was more on edge regarding his reputation. She shared,
“Finally when I hear from him one of the first things he said was, “Are you trying to ruin me? You told everyone?”
Despite the fact that Giveon’s single is set to drop after Justine’s, he has yet to reply to her “weak a** song comment.”
