The Mt. Westmore’s members previously teamed up on a track for the 2019 ‘American Skin’ soundtrack and teased “Locked In” as promotion for Ice Cube’s 3-on-3 basketball league, the BIG3. In 2021, the supergroup performed their single “Big Subwoofer” at Jake Paul and Ben Askren’s boxing match, with the single later appearing on Snoop Dogg’s Algorithm album. Another track called “Bad MF’s” was also released in March.
During a 2021 interview with HipHopDX, Too Short revealed that legendary producer and fellow west coast pioneer, Dr. Dre would also be featured on the joint album.
“Dre is on there, man. He’s on there. Snoop got him on there. Dre is on there. That’s Snoop’s guy. That’s Ice Cube’s guy. They shot a big movie together. He’s on there. Ain’t no doubt about it. You don’t even got to ask him.”
