Rapper/actress Queen Latifah is looking to head overseas to film the follow-up to her 2017 comedy “Girls Trip.”
Queen Latifah, 52, is currently doing a lot of press as she promotes her new Netflix basketball drama that’s set to premiere on Wednesday, June 8.
During one of her recent interviews, Queen Latifah joined Entertainment Tonight and addressed the sequel to “Girls Trip” that was announced to be in the works by producer Will Packer earlier this year.
When asked where the girls trip will take the four best friends this time around, Latifah said with a laugh, “You need to ask Will where we going.”
Latifah added,
“I mean I wanna go to like Brazil… or I’m hearing South Africa.”

The Academy-award-winning actress continued,
“I mean I’m down to go where it’s warm, and where there’s a beach! But with the girls, it doesn’t matter. I know it’s gonna be fun.”
As previously reported, the comedy film’s producer Will Packer confirmed a “Girls Trip 2” is underway at the beginning of this year. The original film came out in 2017 and stars Regina Hall, 51, Jada Pinkett Smith, 50, and Tiffany Haddish, 42. The four best friends turn a work vacation into a girl’s trip as they rekindle their wild side in the city of New Orleans.
