Megan Thee Stallion Reveals She Underwent Surgery ‘The Same Night’ Tory Lanez Allegedly Shot Her & Alludes Canadian Rapper Paid Off Her Former Friend, Kelsey Nicole, Not To Speak On The Incident

Megan Thee Stallion is still dealing with the scars of being shot by her former friend.

As you may already know by now, rappers Megan Thee Stallion, 27, and Tory Lanez, 29, are currently wrapped up in a serious legal battle due to a night out going terribly wrong. In July 2020, Megan Thee Stallion was shot in the feet after leaving a nighttime pool session at Kylie Jenner’s home.

Initially, the Grammy-Award-winning artist didn’t share full details surrounding her injuries and claimed she was severely cut after stepping on glass. However, after Tory Lanez’s team allegedly tried to spread false narratives about what went down that summer night, Megan came forward and revealed she was shot and Tory Lanez is the one who pulled the trigger.

In October 2020, the Canadian entertainer was charged with one felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and another for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The case is set to go to trial in September; Tory has pleaded not guilty.

During a recent interview, Megan became emotional as she revealed new details about the traumatic event. While speaking about her former friendship with Tory she said,

“I thought we had a real connection.”

She added,

“I thought he knew me. And I never would’ve thought he would’ve shot at me at all.”

Megan then shared for the first time that she had to be taken into surgery ‘the same night’ the shooting occured.

“What nobody knows is, I had to get the surgery the same night. I stayed in the hospital in California for maybe four days. Then I was in New York for a while. Both of my legs wrapped up. I could not walk. I still have bullet fragments in my feet right now. I was very scared that I was not able to be Megan Thee Stallion no more. And I was f*cked up.”

The “What’s New” rapper continued and said she feels ashamed for not telling the truth about what happened right away.

“I feel shame, a little bit, because even after he shot me, I still was thinking about everybody else in the car. I thought everybody in the car was my friend, [and] the whole time, that’s not how they thought of me. That’s what really hurts.”

On the night of the shooting Megan’s then-best friend from her childhood, Kelsey Nicole was also present. In a previous interview with CBS’ Gayle King, Megan revealed that Tory offered her and Kelsey $1 million to stay quiet about what he did.

During her most recent interview, she touched more on Kelsey Nicole and shared that two days after Tory shot her Kelsey met up with the “Say It” rapper behind her back. She said,

“I’m like, ‘Kelsey, as my best friend, why would you meet up with the person you saw shoot your best friend?’ She said, ‘Megan, y’all wasn’t answering my calls. My back was against the wall. I didn’t know what to do.’”

Megan continued,

“What the f*ck do you mean your back is against the wall? You’re the only person in this situation that would clear this up for me.”

She added,

“This girl told me out her mouth, ‘He told me, “Oh, thank you for not saying nothing. Now let me invest in your business. Let me do this. Let me do that.”’ And all I know was, from that day on, she never said nothing else about the whole situation online.”

Despite Megan being adamant that Tory shot her and previously sharing proof that she still has bullet fragments in her feet, some people still don’t believe the Texas native.

“In some kind of way I became the villain. And I don’t know if people don’t take it seriously because I seem strong. I wonder if it’s because of the way I look. Is it because I’m not light enough? Is it that I’m not white enough? Am I not the shape? The height? Because I’m not petite? Do I not seem like I’m worth being treated like a woman?”

She added,

“I want [Tory] to go to jail. I want him to go under the jail.”
