Jennifer Lopez Reveals Her Child Uses They/Them Pronouns During Loving Performance Together: They’re My Favorite Duet Partner Of All Time

Jennifer Lopez is making headlines after performing on stage with her child Emme!

The 52-year-old superstar performed at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala on Thursday (Jun.16) and introduced her 14-year-old child Emme Maribel Muñiz using the gender-neutral pronouns they/them.

The pair– who last made headlines for performing together when Jennifer Lopez co-headlined the Super Bowl LIV Pepsi halftime show in 2020–warmed the audiences’ hearts as they took to the stage last week. In a video clip highlighting the special moment, Jennifer Lopez says,

“The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t. So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey.”

“They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time.”

Emme then appeared on stage, dressed in bright pink knee-length shorts and a matching button-down shirt with pink socks, black boots, and a hat. The young singer carried a rainbow-colored microphone as they started out the mother-and-child rendition of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” for the annual Blue Diamond Gala fundraising event, which raises funds for education, health care, homelessness, and social justice issues in the City of Angels.
