Kim Kardashian Reveals She Waited Six Months Before Introducing Pete Davidson To Her Children: I Consulted With A Few Therapists
Beauty mogul Kim Kardashian is sharing about her co-parenting experience and dating after divorce.
The star of Hulu’s The Kardashians admitted during a recent interview that she took her time and has been “very cautious” while navigating dating as a single parent. Back in February of last year, 41-year-old Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her music mogul husband Kanye West, 45.
Speaking on moving past her divorce, Kim revealed that she’s spoken to several loved ones who’ve been through divorce. Adding that she’s consulted a few therapists as well, she stated:
“Luckily I have a sister who’s been through it all and we talked about it. And I’ve consulted with a few therapists and friends that have been through it.”

Continuing, the Skims owner revealed that she decided to set a specific dating time frame before introducing any potential new romances to her children. The reality star has been dating comedian Pete Davidson, 28, since October of last year. She said:
“I definitely wanted to wait six months. That was the marker….I think it’s different for everyone and different things work for different people.”

Kim and her estranged husband were married nearly seven years before separating. The former celebrity couple share four children together, North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. Kanye previously lashed out via social media at Kim’s new boyfriend Pete, telling him he’d never meet his children, among other things.

However, it seems time and a 24hr instagram suspension changed the Donda artist’s heart. Back in April of this year, it was reported that the SNL comic was spotted out with the eldest West child North, and her cousin Penelope, following North’s basketball game. The event was reportedly the first time Kim, Kanye, and Pete appeared together seemingly in a healthy co parenting situation.

Speaking on how co parenting with her hip hop icon ex-husband has been, Kim stated:
“It’s going good we had, you know father’s day at the house the kids…spent the day with him….North cooked…Of course I wanted to honor and respect the amazing people and father’s, men in my life that have raised me and are raising our children.”
On father’s day, the media personality shared a heartfelt message to her children’s father, writing:
“Thank you for being the best dad to our babies and loving them the way you do! Happy Father’s Day Ye”
