Clifton Powell Shares Dating Advice He Gave His Son For Relationship W/ Sasha Obama: I Have An Opportunity & A Responsibility To Make My Son Responsible, Gentle, Kind, Loving, & Supportive

Clifton Powell is teaching his son to treat his lady with love and respect.

In a recent interview, actor Clifton Powell talks about his son, Clifton Powell Jr., being in a relationship with Sasha Obama, former President Barack Obama’s daughter. Clifton Powell says:

“They’ve been going out for about a year and it just hit the press right? So, it has helped me talk to Clifton about how to handle Sasha Obama because we love the Obama’s but Mr. Obama has a daughter that’s dating my son and I have an opportunity and a responsibility to make my son responsible, gentle, kind, loving, and supportive, the things that I did not get taught. So I text him all the time ‘treat sasha like you would want somebody to treat your daughter.’”

As previously reported, Sasha Obama, 20, started dating Clifton Powell Jr., 25, after Sasha moved to Los Angeles last August after opting out of the University of Michigan and transferring to the University of Southern California.

Clifton Powell Jr. is a former collegiate basketball player, who was awarded a four-year scholarship to the University of California at Santa Barbara. In less than a year, Clifton Jr. transferred out of school to follow in his father’s shoes and focus on his film career. Clifton Jr. is now working as a commercial director and has teamed up with big brands like Peloton and Nike.
