“Break My Soul” is preparing fans for “Renaissance.”

On Monday (June 20) Beyonce, 40, released “Break My Soul,” the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album “Renaissance” which is due July 29th.

Recently “Break My Soul” marked Beyonce’s 20th career top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 as a solo artist.

Beyonce’s first song to hit the top 10’s list during her solo career was “Crazy In Love,” which was released in 2003 featuring her husband, Jay-Z. Since then the Grammy-award-winning singer has had success getting her hit singles on the Hot 100 charts including tracks “Irreplaceable,” “Baby Boy,” “Check On It,” “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” and many more.

On Thursday (June 30) the 40-year-old took to Instagram to share the cover art for “Renaissance.” In a caption, she explained her vision behind the cover art of her album. Beyonce said:

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment.”

She added:

“A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
