‘RHOA’ Marlo Hampton’s Home Invaded By Four Suspected Gang Members
Marlo Hampton has been one of over a dozen victims involved in a string of home invasions.
Recently it was reported that four alleged gang members were arrested in connection to at least 15 targeted celebrity home invasions over the past year, which included ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Marlo Hampton’s home.
Marlo Hampton’s Sandy Springs residence was broken into on Friday (July 1). The reality star recalled watching the armed masked men kick her door down on her security system.
“When I heard the boom, when I heard my nephew scream, and I knew that scream was a scream of fear, my heart dropped.”
“I just thank God and we’re covered in the blood of Jesus and I’m here to share this story with you. But my main concern is, I want all the ladies, I want everyone to be aware if you are posting, if you do have luxury items, be careful.”
The 46-year-old told authorities the suspects possibly fled the scene when she yelled out prior to going into her panic room to call 911.
Sandy Springs police disclosed they took down four alleged members of the gang on Sunday (July 17) after they attempted to rob a home occupied by the mother of one of Future’s children.
The investigation led authorities to watch her home knowing she would be an upcoming target. Reports state that the gang mostly targets high-profile celebrities or social media figures.
Sergeant Matt McGinnis said:
“We got lucky and we got it right. And as we targeted them, they came on scene. Both a foot chase and a vehicle chase ensued and we were able to take four people into custody.”
Four men are in custody and have been charged with crimes relating to Sunday’s home invasion. However, the gang includes other members that have yet to be arrested and are suspects in the 15 home invasions that took place in Sandy Springs.
