Jennifer Lopez’s First Husband Says He Doubts The Singer’s Current Marriage Will Last: She’s Someone Who Will Be Married Seven Or Eight Times I Can’t See Her Settling Down W/ One Person
Ojani Noa doesn’t have faith in Jennifer Lopez’s current marriage.
Recently, Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Ojani Noa gave his opinion on Ben Affleck’s current marriage with his ex-wife. Ojani Noa said:
“I wish her and Ben the best, but I’m not convinced it will last.”
Ojani continued:
“Jen loves being in love but she’s been engaged six times. Ben is husband number four. I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever.”
Ojani added:
“We were together romantically for two years but friends for nearly a decade.”
Ojani admitted:
“There were many times I felt like Mr Cinderella. She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. In the beginning, I had no idea who she was.”
The 48-year-old said:
“We fell in love when she was already famous. But during our marriage she became a megastar. For years it was too painful to talk about. I wanted to lie low and live my life. But when I saw she got married to Ben, who is a good guy, the feelings came flooding back.”
Jennifer Lopez and Ojani continued to remain friends after their divorce in 1998 where he received a $50,000 settlement and even continued to wear his wedding ring. Today, Ojani is discussing the relationship between him and his ex-wife after being tired of being put to the side as the ‘penniless waiter’ the singer eventually dumped. He worked as a dishwasher at Estefan’s restaurant where he first encountered J Lo. She was a 28-year-old celebrity at the time and he had no idea who she was. Ojani described it to be love at first sight.
Ojani said:
“I’m happy she has gone back to Ben but I have a feeling this won’t last.”
He continued:
“I think she’s someone who will be married seven or eight times. I can’t see her ever settling down with one person. She pushes herself to constantly go forward in her professional life, which is why she’s had a three-decade career, but she also moves on in her private life.”
The Selena actress and Ben Affleck were previously engaged in 2002 before calling off the wedding in 2004. The pair rekindled their relationship in 2021 and decided to get married on Sunday (July 17) in Las Vegas following her three failed marriages in her past with actor Chris Judd (divorced after two years) and singer Marc Anthony (divorced after 10 years).
J Lo’s ex-husband said:
“For many years I felt burned, bruised. I think if she hadn’t had all those people around her then we might still be together.”
He added:
‘But I have my life and I am happy. I still believe in love and I hope Jen has finally found the love she has been looking for.’
As previously reported, J Lo and Ben Affleck’s minister, Ryan Wolfe, described the newlywed’s love to be “real and evident.” Ryan Wolfe said:
“Absolutely, you can see the love they had for each other. They definitely truly care and love each other. I’ve done probably 10,000 weddings now, and by this point in my life I get a feel of couples — I can really tell it was real.”
Ryan Wolfe continued:
“It was emotional; it was an emotional moment they shared with one another. It was real and evident for sure. After seeing them and the love they have for each other, I 100 percent believe they will last. They will make it. I believe they found their soulmates. I really do believe they’re meant for each other.”
J Lo, now Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck spoke about her feelings on her do-over with Ben:
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
She added:
“Best night of our lives. Thank you to the Little White Wedding chapel for letting me use the break room to change while Ben changed in the men’s room.”
She continued:
“I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him….It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance.”
