According to reports, New Orleans rapper Mystikal was arrested on Sunday (July 31) for first-degree rape, false imprisonment, robbery, domestic abuse battery, and simple criminal damage to property. Mystikal was transported to the Ascension Parish Jail on his third count of alleged sex crimes. As of today (August 1) no bond has been posted for the 52-year-old entertainer.

Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, has faced sex crime allegations in the past. He spent six years behind bars after allegedly sexually assaulting his hairstylist in 2004. Upon his release, he registered as a sex offender.

As previously reported, Mystikal was arrested again after surrendering to authorities following a warrant out for his arrest in connection to an assault that allegedly happened on Oct 22, 2017, in a Shreveport casino. The charges were eventually dropped and the New Orleans rapper was released from prison on a $3 million bond.
