‘Grease’ Star Olivia Newton-John Passes Away At The Age Of 73
Another legend from the entertainment world has passed away.
According to reports, movie/music star Olivia Newton-John has died.
Olivia Newton-John’s husband, John Easterling, broke the news about her passing via a heartfelt post shared online. He revealed that his wife died peacefully at her ranch in Southern California earlier today (Aug. 8) surrounded by family and friends. In part, he wrote,
“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.”
The British-Australian entertainer was a four-time Grammy Award winner whose music accomplishments included five number one hits and another ten Top Ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100. As you may already know, Olivia has starred in countless film and TV projects including the 1978 hit musical film “Grease” alongside actor John Travolta. In 1980 she starred in another popular musical film “Xanadu.”
According to the IG post, Olivia is survived by,
“her husband John Easterling; daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall.”
