Rihanna — Social Media Users React After Rumors Surfaced Claiming The Singer Has A New Song Coming Out Soon: I Don’t Want To Get My Hopes Up

Roughly three months after becoming a first-time mother, could Rihanna be surprising her fans with new music?

On Wednesday morning (August 10), a post via Twitter surfaced online and seemingly revealed that Barbadian singer Rihanna, 34, has a new song on the way that could drop at any moment.

The tweet in question said that the businesswoman’s rumored new song is titled “Righteous” and is now registered at GEMA, a performance rights organization. Rihanna is credited as the songwriter and performance artist for the alleged new track. The tweet read,

Rumored new @rihanna song Righteous is now registered at GEMA.

Rihanna is credited as a songwriter and as the performing artist.”

Rihanna’s fans have since taken to the comment section under the tweet to respond to the speculation that the beauty mogul is finally putting out new music.

According to reports, it’s been six years since the release of Rihanna’s last album, “Anti,” and her fans (a.k.a. the Navy) impatiently await the arrival of the next one.

Although it’s been years since fans received a project from the artist, her most recently released song was her collaboration with Canadian singer PartyNextDoor in 2020 for his single “Believe It.”

Since the release of her eighth studio album “Anti,” Rihanna went from grinding in music to now grinding in beauty and fashion. Reportedly, she founded her Fenty Beauty line in 2017 and then followed that by debuting her Savage X Fenty lingerie brand in 2018. Those companies earned her billionaire status, according to Forbes. Rihanna has amassed a $1.7 billion fortune, making her the world’s richest female musician.
