With a career spanning nearly 17 years, it’s hard to believe that Chris Brown doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. In 2004, Brown signed with Jive Records, and released his self-titled debut studio album the following year, which sold 154K copies in the first week, and was later certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With his debut single “Run It!” peaking atop the Billboard Hot 100, Chris Brown became the first male artist since 1995 to have his debut single top the chart.
Since then the “Loyal” singer has dominated the charts with hit songs, top charting albums, and collaborations with artists like, Drake, Young Thug, H.E.R., Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Big Sean to name a few.
