Kandi Burruss – Employee Who Shot Coworker At Her & Todd Tucker’s ATL Restaurant In Police Custody

The man responsible for opening fire at Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss’ restaurant has been arrested.

According to reports, the 41-year-old man – identified as Henry Darden – was taken in by police on Thursday (September 8th). Reportedly, Darden got into a verbal altercation with the Blaze restaurants’ head chef Melvin Jones before shooting him in the arm on Wednesday night (September 7th). Darden initially fled the scene, however his evading of the police ended shortly after the incident occured.

After details of the investigation began to emerge, it was revealed that RHOA vet Kandi Burruss cousin was the victim of the shooting. Jones, who goes by chef_melvinj on Instagram released photos of his gruesome wound, and thanked God for his life following the incident.

Jones also works for Burruss at her other restaurant Old Lady Gang, and has appeared on the restaurants TV show spin off as well. Reports state that Jones was taken to the hospital, but did not sustain any life threatening injuries.

Neither Burruss nor husband Todd Tucker – who is co-owner of the steak and seafood eatery – has yet to specifically address the incident publicly, however the restaurant did close down for a day immediately after the shooting. The entertainment mogul did take time to thank God for protection, as well thank people for thoughts and prayers.

Reports state that Darden was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No one was fatally harmed as a result of the shooting.
