Kodak Black Calls Out Latto After Losing BET Hip Hop Award To Her, Rapper Blasts Network Exec Connie Orlando & Urges Fans To Boycott The Platform

It seems like rapper Kodak Black might be a sore loser.

After losing Song of the Year to Latto at the BET Hip Hop Awards on Oct. 3, Kodak Black fired insults and obscenity-filled rants at the “Big Energy” rapper and BET’s Executive Vice President/Head of Programming Connie Orlando. He also urged his fans to boycott BET. He Tweeted,

“Everyone Needa Boycott @Connieorlando and @BET! Yall Lame Af & Y’all Not Really For The People Fr! BET WATERED DOWN!!!”

Kodak Black then accused Connie Orlando of awarding Latto “Song of the Year” for no reason other than to show “women empowerment.” He tagged Connie Orlando in a post that said,

“The Woman Empowerment S### Kool! Don’t Take Nun From Nobody But You Still Gotta Work For It! Don’t Jus Simply Give It To Somebody Kuz They A Woman!!!!! If That’s The Case Y’all Shoulda Gave Song Of The Year To Glorilla Not That Hating Ass Mutt.”

However, Kodak Black was not the only man in the category that Latto bested. She was also not the only woman. The “It’s Giving” rapper earned the win over Kodak’s “Super Gremlin,” Hitkidd Glorilla, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go); Jack Harlow, “First Class”; Cardi BKanye West & Lil Durk, “Hot S###; Future feat. Drake Tems, “Wait for You,” and Drake feat. Future & Young Thug, “Way 2 Sexy.”

Kodak’s rant continued with him calling Latto “Frappuccino.” He also accused Connie of trying to take him down.

During an Instagram Live, he said,

“This whole s### looked like a damn plot. They probably hollerin’ at B.E.T., like don’t give him that s###. I told [people] weeks ago. Watch they finna play with me and give it to Frappuccino.”

Latto responded to the shade on Instagram with a photo captioned,

The 23-year-old then took to Twitter and posted,

“What kinda Frappuccino I look like I taste like???

Kodak Black’s frustration with the Latto may go deeper than a BET Hip Hop Award. During an interview earlier this year, Latto said a male artist did not want to clear his feature on her album due to her not responding to his D.M. By deductive reasoning, fans connected Latto’s statement to Kodak Black’s past comments about working with female artists.

He previously told The Breakfast Club hosts,

“Look, my female artists, this is how it is. ‘Cause I know n***as and sh*t like that, I gotta bust ’em. They ain’t gotta be my girlfriend but I’ma bust ’em.”

Because Latto did not confirm or deny the speculation, the Back for Everything rapper stepped up to defend himself.

Kodak said,

“That Mulatto Girl IS NOT Talkin Bout Me Homie. See Y’all Steady Reachin Lol … Shawty Ain’t Even Say A N***a Name On Dat Shit Ion Know Why Tf Y’all Tryna Make A N***a Wear Dat Jacket I’m Too Fly Fa Dat Shit Homie.”

“Big Energy” and “Super Gremlin” were top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. Latto recently shared this additional accolade,

The BET exec has not responded to Kodak’s allegations.

Do you think Latto and Kodak will ever find peace? Will Kodak’s boycott be the demise of B.E.T.? Tell us in the comments below.
