Miguel Reveals ‘Ironclad’ Prenup w/ Estranged Wife Nazanin Mandi
Miguel and Nazanin Mandi signed an unbreakable prenup before their three-year marriage came to an end.
According to RadarOnline, singer Miguel shared that he and his estranged wife Nazanin Mandi sign an “ironclad” prenuptial agreement before deciding to call it quits. As previously reported, the “Sure Thing” vocalist and Nazanin Mandi filed for divorce last month due to “irreconcilable differences.” The pair got engaged in 2016 and tied the knot in November 2018. The high school sweethearts share no children together.
On Friday (Oct. 14) Miguel, full name Miguel Pimentel, informed a Los Angeles court about his decision to hire Spector –one of Hollywood’s top divorce attorneys. Spector previously served as Amber Heard’s lawyer amid her divorce from Johnny Depp. She also represented Dr. Dre’s ex-wife, Nicole Young, during their heated divorce battle.
In the new divorce filing, an inconsistency was discovered as Mandi listed their separation date as “to be determined,” while Miguel, 37, wrote August 1, 2022, as the end of their relationship. The date of their legal separation may be focused on as individual property that Miguel has earned in a specific time frame may be questioned in court. The ex-couple would have to agree on a date to determine the length of time one party may have to pay spousal support. On Wednesday (Nov. 9) it was reported that Mandi, 36, and the California native need to agree on finances and divide any “community property” before moving forward with finalizing their divorce.
The pair went public with their separation in September of last year before Mandi initially filed to terminate their union in October. A representative said on the behalf of the estranged couple:
“After 17 years together, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to separate and have been for some time now. The couple both wish each other well.”
