Kanye West’s Renovations On His $57M Malibu Mansion Put On Pause After Rapper Loses Billionaire Status Due To Terminated Business Deals & Partnerships
Kanye West’s antisemitic fallout affected his businesses, pockets, and now, the construction of his Malibu mansion.
According to RadarOnline, the Grammy-Award winner had to put a halt on the construction of his Malibu beach house after losing his billionaire status due to his recent antisemitic remarks. Kanye West reportedly purchased the beachfront pad last September for $57 million and the renovations are nowhere near complete after he gutted the property shortly after the sale. The renovations on the rapper’s dream home will stay on hold while the 45-year-old works out his finances. A source shared:
“He’s having to sort his finances out so renovation work at his Malibu place is on hold at the moment.”
Adding that Kanye’s Malibu house isn’t the only property that needs work done, the source continued:
“His house near Kim’s also needs renovating, and he wanted a change of scenery after months at Soho Warehouse Downtown.”
Despite the finishing touches needed on Kanye West’s properties, the Chicago native isn’t without a place to call home. Allegedly, Kanye was spotted checking into the fancy Waldorf hotel on October 6. If he’s living in the penthouse, he’s already spent $170k on the stay.
As previously reported, the Yeezy designer’s career came crashing down after he was candid about launching a tirade against the Jewish community. He reportedly lost $2 billion in a day after brands such as Adidas, Balenciaga, Vogue, T.J. Maxx, and others, terminated their ties with him.
