Michael B. Jordan Reveals That J. Cole’s Dreamville Label Will Be Executive Producing The Official Soundtrack For ‘Creed III’

Creed III will definitely have quite the dream team behind it!

During a recent panel discussion, illustrious actor Michael B. Jordan shared that J. Cole’s uber-successful record label, Dreamville, will be responsible for the magic that goes into the making of Creed III’s soundtrack.

When speaking of the anticipated forthcoming installment, Michael B. Jordan, who will be reprising the starring role of Adonis “Donnie” Creed in the film, reportedly announced,

“I’m probably gonna get in trouble. Dreamville is executive producing this album [for Creed III].”

Originally making its way to the box office(s) in 2015, Creed is a sports drama flick by Ryan Coogler and Aaron Covington, with contributions from Hollywood heavy-hitter Sylvester Stallone. The blockbuster serves as a follow-up to 2006’s Rocky Balboa, which is the seventh spin-off of the note-worthy Rocky collection, led by Sylvester Stallone.

Part one of Creed features Michael B. Jordan and Stallone, alongside Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Bellew, and Graham McTavish. It follows the son of Rocky’s fictional phenomenon, the heavyweight champion Apollo Creed–portrayed by Jordan.

Since its introduction onto the movie scene, Creed has grown into a full-blown franchise, with Creed III slated to release on March 3, 2023. Part two premiered in 2018.

Creed III, which will see Jordan stepping into his directorial debut, captures his character, Adonis, five years “after dominating the boxing world.” His former friend and prodigy Damian “Dame” Anderson (portrayed by Jonathan Majors) is released from his prison stint and is seemingly out to prove that he hasn’t lost his skills in the gloves–even if that means two buddies having to battle it out.

Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Wood Harris are also set to return as cast members.

Dreamville is the home of some of today’s hottest artists, such as Ari Lennox, Earthgang, and J.I.D., among others.
