Nipsey Hussle Commemorated w/ First Ever Wax Figure
Late rap star Nipsey Hussle recently received another great honor solidifying his legacy.
Months after getting a Hollywood star on the walk of fame, the California-based musician is now immortalized with his first-ever wax figure. The piece was created by a talented Black artist who goes by Mr. Officials on Instagram.
According to the artist, creating the overtly impressive statue took about 9 months to finish. Mr. Officials revealed the figure this past Saturday (November 26th). Giving details about how the piece came about, he wrote:
“This statue actually took about 9 moths to create. After 9 long months the birthing of a legend is now revealed! Tag and share with a Nip fan. Let me know what you think.”

The Ohio-based artist even gave a step-by-step tutorial on how the figure was crafted. Video footage of the process has now been viewed over 634,000 times alone on Instagram, and fans seemingly love it. Celebs and social media users alike praised Mr. Officials in the comments section, even urging him to open his own Black wax figure museum.
Back in March of 2019, Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was shot to death at 33-years-old outside of his flagship retail store, The Marathon Clothing. The West Coast rapper is survived by 2 siblings, his parents, two children, and life partner Lauren London.
Eric Holder, the alleged gunman, was convicted of the murder back in July of this year. Reportedly, Holder’s sentencing was recently postponed to next month. The wax figure comes shortly after the announcement of a new Nipsey documentary. The Grammy Award-winning rapper’s production company partnered with Lebron James Spring Hill Production to produce the project.
The docuseries, titled “Hussle,” currently does not have a release date.
