Erica Mena Says “People Should Just Mind Their Business, Kids Are Expensive” While Addressing Criticism She Received For Crying Over Ex Husband Safaree’s $4,305 Monthly Child Support Payments

Reality TV star Erica Mena has a message for her critics!

The mother of three told paparazzi that those critical of how she reacted to learning of her ex-husband’s mandatory child support payments can mind their own business.

As previously reported, Erica Mena, 35, was hysterical after finding out her now ex-husband, Safaree Samuels, 41, would only be paying $4,305 in child support. The “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” stars finalized their divorce back in September after nearly 3 years of marriage. Mena and Safaree share 2 young children together, 2-year-old Safire Majesty Samuels and 1-year-old Legend Brian Samuels.

According to the paparazzi, folks online have criticized Mena’s reaction, declaring that “people who make money shouldn’t ask for money”. However Mena, who was clearly upset by the amount the state required her children’s father to give her, responded:

“I just feel like people should  just mind their business. Kids are expensive and everyone’s lifestyle and how it is funded is different,”

She continued:

“Everyone should just mind their business when it comes to what they feel is suitable for individuals to get in compensation to take care of their kids…It takes two to tango.”

The budding actress also told the interviewer that she’s been “really happy” since the divorce, focusing on her children and her work. In addition to her reality success, Mena has recently stepped into the world of professional acting. Earlier this month, the entertainer announced her breakout movie “The Stepmother” on Tubi was greenlit for a second movie where she’ll be reprising her role.
